As announced last week, News Pundits is running awards for the top pundits who made the most accurate 2008 predictions. For the remainder of this year we will be publishing a list of nominees for each category. If you want to nominate another pundit please do so by providing a link in the comments below.

As you can see not many called both the primaries and the presidential elections correctly.

Claude Salhani is very consistent and accurate - basing his comments on a wealth of experience gained in a multi cultural and global environment.

Claude Salhani is the best kind of journalist, one that truly knows his subject inside and out. He knows how to bring his enthusiasm for the subject to his readers. He's been on the Middle East story since Black September in 1970 and he's never let it get away from him. Claude brings the kind of honest, balanced insights to his reporting that are sorely missing in so much of the news on the Middle East. Honest reporting, coupled with great writing, is what keeps so many of us reading every word that Claude writes. He really is the pundit of the year in my book.

My vote is for Claude Salhani..I know I can always count on him to bring a fair & insightful appraisal of what ever situation is happening in the Middle East.
